Symphony Chorus

The Symphony Chorus of Intermountain Choral Artists is a premiere, auditioned ensemble for experienced choral musicians. The choir will regularly study, rehearse and perform a variety of works written for choir and symphony orchestra, including those of the great master composers, as well as modern-day works and popular, patriotic, folk and even repertoire from Broadway. Symphony Chorus will perform in annual concert series produced by Intermountain Music as well as external events such as festivals, tours and other service-oriented performing opportunities. 

While the Symphony Chorus will primarily consist of adult musicians (age 18 and older,) advanced high school student musicians (particularly children of adult participants) are encouraged to audition as well. In addition to solo performances in concerts, the Symphony Chorus will be involved in choral unions alongside all Intermountain ensembles.

REHEARSALS: Thursdays, 6:30 – 8:30 pm

TUITION: $100 per semester

Concert Choir

Non-auditioned

The Concert Choir of Intermountain Choral Artists is a non-auditioned ensemble for high school youth (grades 9–12 / ages 14–18). Younger males whose voices have changed may be assessed by the director for participation in Concert Choir. 

Student artists in Concert Choir will study, rehearse and perform a variety of music that will guide student musicians in developing habits of healthy singing and responsibly acquire musicianship skills that will yield compelling, artistic nuance in their choral adventures in and outside of Intermountain Choral Artists. In addition to solo performances in concerts, the Concert Choir will be involved in choral unions alongside all Intermountain ensembles.  

REHEARSALS: Thursdays, 4:45 – 6:15 pm 

TUITION: $180 per semester

Young Artists

Non-auditioned

Young Artists is a non-auditioned, treble-voiced ensemble for youth (grades 3–8 / ages 7–14). 

Young Artists will study, rehearse and perform a variety of music, celebrating the tradition and sublime beauty of treble choral art. Singers will develop and strengthen basic vocal and musicianship skills using a variety of repertoire pedagogically tailored for youth that will nurture a healthy, artistic attitude for compelling intonation, nuanced expression and ensemble awareness. Singers will cultivate a strong foundation and love for the choral art and experience the joy of performing alongside a professional symphony orchestra. In addition to solo performances in concerts, the Young Artists will be involved in choral unions alongside all Intermountain ensembles.

Symphony Orchestra

Auditioned

The Intermountain Symphony Orchestra is a volunteer ensemble for experienced, advanced instrumentalists. The orchestra will inspire audiences with classical orchestral works and regularly collaborate with the choirs of Intermountain Choral Artists. The Symphony Orchestra will also be featured in an annual concerto/aria festival presenting young and professional artists performing celebrated repertoire and music of the great master composers.

Chamber Artists

Tailored for professional choral artists, the Chamber Artists is a small, mixed ensemble specializing in a variety of genres found in the choral art. In addition to being featured in Intermountain’s annual concert series, the Chamber Artists will engage in collaborative performances with other choirs and music projects. The Chamber Artists will also produce an annual recording of special works composed by new and seasoned musicians. Members of the Chamber Artists are encouraged (not required) to participate in the large Symphony Chorus.

REHEARSALS: Thursdays, 8:45 – 10:00 pm

TUITION: $50 per semester
